Tooth and Testimony

She has a tooth!!

And I have a testimony!!

About 5 - 6 weeks ago, Emma was showing all of the signs/symptoms of teething. She had a low-grade fever, she wasn't sleeping at night. She would be fussy and irritable most of the day, and she was very clingy!! This went on for almost a whole week, and I was exhausted (as was Emma).

I was supposed to drive with Mom and Dad to North Carolina for a wedding that weekend. The thought of a fussy infant in the car for the 8 - 9 hour drive sounded quite miserable. For her, for me and for all who would be with us. I didn't want to back out of going, but I didn't want to torture everyone either. Thursday morning I prayed, asking God to take away her symptoms and let her be content and comfortable in the car. I know teething is a part of every baby's life; and though some babies handle it differently than others, it can be a very trying time for baby and momma! However, I also feel like there is nothing too big for God!! HE created her little body, and he can get her through the teething process!!!

After I prayed, she seemed more content that day and when we left the next morning, I had a different baby!! She was the most content, satisfied baby the whole weekend!!! (Ask my parents!) She hardly fussed at all the entire time we were gone!! When we returned home, the contentedness didn't go away. She has been much more peaceful since then. AND - a tooth just popped thru and she has had NO symptoms at all since that week back in February!! Praise the Lord!! He goes above and beyond our expectations!!!
